Season 1 DVD is Now Available!

I am one of many fans who are absolutely hooked on The Blacklist! Actually, I was surprised at myself! After watching the first episode, I really didn’t intend to watch another. It was more violent than I usually like, and I was still confused as to what actually “happened”! I had mainly watched it because I’m a big fan of James Spader!

I did not watch the second episode, but my husband recorded it, as he had the first one, and later, we watched both. Sometimes we couldn’t understand what was being said, and we would stop it and go back so we could hear it again. I’ll tell you, it helps to be able to watch these more that once. We have now recorded each episode, and watched each one at least twice, and some several times. Each time we watch, we can figure out more of what is happening. We carefully listen for any clue that we may have missed as to who people are and what is going on.

James Spader is perfect to play Raymond Reddington. Spader is always a great actor, but he astounds me in this role. Megan Boone is awesome in her role as Liz. Whoever picked the actors for each character did a perfect job of it.

After watching the 3rd episode, Wujing – No. 84 (on the Blacklist), I was HOOKED! I love a mystery, and The Blacklist keeps you guessing. This show is full of secrets, and you have to keep coming back to find out more!

The Husband

Red continually warns Liz about her husband. I have to know what’s up with this. We were wondering if Tom really was a teacher, or was he working undercover for someone? What about that box that Liz found under the floor? Was her husband hiding it, or is it a plant, to make him look guilty? Even now, after the first season has ended, we don’t know for sure who Tom is working for.

Is Reddington Liz’s Father?

This is the main question on everyone’s mind! Reddington will not work with anyone other than Liz. Why? This is a mystery from the first. Later, you will know that she’s very important to him because of something that happened in the past. He knows everything about her. He knew her adopted father. But, he won’t reveal anything to Liz. Why? Many people think Red is her father. I was inclined to believe that myself…but now I’m not so sure. With this program, you never know.

The Blacklist: Season 1 is now available

This is a must-have for me! Now you can watch each episode again before Season 2 begins in the Fall. And, then as often as you’d like. Events will get clearer in your head. You can use the product link above to pre-order your copy today.

Big fan of the show. I just don't like that Apple TV is behind on the schedule. I still only have access to the first 9 shows, and I am eager to see the rest of season one.

Big fan of the show. So many questions and so few answers to this point. I expect that every time a mystery is solved another will be offered.
  • Marti Jan 07, 2014 @ 2:15 am
I really like The Blacklist too. Not sure if he is Liz's dad - that seems a little too easy. I'm thinking maybe whoever is his big adversary might be her father. Really eager for the show to return!

Blacklist is on our absolutely must watch list. At first it was because of Spader, one of our favorite actors. Very soon it became a must watch because the show itself is so excellent.

Nice job on the review. Yes, it is an excellent show, but it is carried by Spader. He is the consummate badguy/goodguy

Oh gosh. I can't begin to tell you how much we love this show. We won't make plans at all for "Blacklist Night".. It's "glued to the TV with popcorn" night for this one. We think it's the best new TV show in years.
  • sybil-watson Jan 06, 2014 @ 10:28 am
I love this show too - it's so nice to have a good show like this to look forward to each week. James Spader is phenomenal as the villain that you can't help liking. I think he is Liz's father, but you never know.

Excellent review. I love this show and like yourself i watched it because of James Spader. I cannot wait for season 2 but just wanted to give you props on a review that does the series justice but also doesn't give too much away.
