One word – Kit Harington.

Kit Harington is all you need to know…

Well, actually that is two words!

“I am hooked!”    With the proverbial “Line and sinker” and all of the above with this HBO series! I began to read the books in 2011. I read all the books cover to cover in less than 6 months.

That was so fast for me. Of course, I physically read two of the books as they were not available for me yet on digital talking books.

The other books I listened to. I had all the physical books to refer to the list of characters and the maps!

I LOVE MAPS!

See below for the Game of Thrones Map of Westeros!

I have purchased all three seasons of the HBO series and I am not sorry. Well, I shared the cost with my kids.

I watched Kit Harington go from a very virginal blank faced character to a very brash young man wielding a big sword!

WOW! is all I can say.

They picked the right person for the job.

I really liked Tyrion from the start. As soon as I saw him with a book and how he explained that his smarts would help him, I knew I was going to love his character. What a great actor Peter Dinklage is!

I have enjoyed seeing how fast Arya Stark had to grow up and how brave she is. You will be amazed what she has to go through in the other books!

And then there is Daenerys Targaryen!

She has endured quite a lot and has surprised us all on how well she handles it all! If anyone deserves to sit on the Iron Throne it is Daenerys!

You will not be sorry to pay for the series so you can watch it again and again how the events unfold for the jam packed series of mayhem.

There are so many things happening in the books, I must say the series narrows it all down for the visual production.

Yes, it skips things and people, but it would be a full year of shows – eight hours a day to have all of it in a visual production.

I only felt that the torture scenes were overdone. I could not watch Reek Geek Sneek [Theon Greyjoy] get cut up. I am sorry, that is just wrong!

Now for season 4! I am anxiously awaiting the release of Season 4 on DVD and then in 2015 comes Season 5 to HBO!

Watch over head for those dragons!

Bottom line… Hodor Hodor Hodor…

10 stars, 4 A’s etc.

We bought the Iron Coin of the Faceless Man for my daughter's boyfriend for his Christmas gift. It is made from Iron and though smaller than the prop they use in the series, it is very detailed and priced right!

Thanks for the lens, Ibidii squid :-) I chose Daenerys though I do admire Tyrion Lannister. I read all the books (not happy having to wait a few years for the next one, though) so I haven't watched the series yet.

Hi Janet, I hear ya, I can hardly wait for the next book! Let's hope that all the cash George is making from the books and HBO shows will inspire him to have it ASAP! Daenerys is awesome in that she has learned how to be a cool customer under stress! Tyrion is awesome because he has intelligence and patience. He sure has had a lot happen to him! If you loved the books you will enjoy the series. I thought they did a good job even though they leave out some things, but most tv and movies do that to books anyway... :D

GAH!! I've listened to all of the books on audio so now I've got "You know nothing, Jon Snow" in Roy Dotrice's voice running through my head. Arya has to be my favorite and I've been eying that coin you have here over on Amazon for a while now as it is the perfect Arya fan trinket. The scenes detailing Jon and Arya--who both seem to be misfits in the Stark house-- were some of my favorite and Jon's gift to Arya certainly makes him high up on my favorite characters list. He continues that caring for others theme all through the novels. Thanks for highlighting him and bringing more attention to this great book/TV series.

Hello AnneLee, I would love to hear books read by Roy Dotrice! My books through the digital talking books for the blind are read by Mark Ashby, but has an awesome voice. Yes, Jon's gift to Arya is appropriately named. The faceless man coin is about the size of US Nickle, although not as thick. But it is awesome! Thank you for the comments! Lets hope it is not too long for the next book! :D

Hi Anne, I just looked and the books are read by various authors! I had not realized that! Usually they have one person read a lot of a series. Guess that because the books were added over time they had different readers. :D

Congrats on Review of the Day. I've never seen this before or read the books. Now I have to go see what it's all about.

It's a fantastic series and I'm loving the books too. Jon Snow is definitely my favourite character although Daenerys and Tyrion come close.

Thank you jill! Tyrion is top of the list for me!

Congrats on Review of the Day! I haven't read or seen this popular series, but it is on my list. Even more so after reading your lens. Thanks for sharing it!
